Sustain-A-Snacks: Daylight Savings Time, A Morning Sunrise Alarm, And How To Reuse Your Halloween Pumpkins

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Savings Time is coming up this Sunday, November 1st. We "fall back" by setting the clocks back one hour. That means earlier sunsets for the rest of the year, but we'll gain an hour of sunlight in the morning.
Speaking of the change in light, as a student of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, we learn all about the health benefits of living in harmony with the cycles of yin and yang in the universe. While it's not possible for everyone's schedule, rising with the sun is a great way to optimize your body's energy and make the most of short winter days. I started using the Dawn Alarm app on my phone, which sets my morning alarm to sync with the sunrise.
And last, but not least - don't toss your Halloween pumpkins in the landfill this year. Check out 19 Ways to Reuse Your Halloween Pumpkin.
